It might only be June, but following the conclusion of next week’s Australian Goldfields Open we will see the first mid-season seeding revision of the 2015/16 campaign.

Today saw five days of qualifying for the final stages of the Australian Goldfields Open played to a conclusion at the K2 in Crawley, with a mix of seeded qualifiers and lower ranked players making it through to Bendigo.
New season, new players and new qualifying venue as Monday sees the start of the 2015 Australian Goldfields Open qualifiers from the K2 in Crawley.
Hot on the heels of confirming the field for the upcoming World Cup in Wuxi, World Snooker has also made available the draw for the Australian Goldfields Open in Bendigo, as well as the qualifiers due to commence in Crawley from 1st June 2015.
Prior to today, Judd Trump’s last ranking event victory came at the 2012 International Championship, when he defeated Neil Robertson in the final and today was to see a repeat of that result as he defeated the home favourite 9-5 to win a fourth career ranking title.
