From a record field of 64 players from 8 countries, 1999 UK champion Roxton Chapman from Peterborough emerged a somewhat surprise winner of the 2015 LITEtask UK Open Billiards Championship at the Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds at the weekend.

Record number of players head for Leeds for first ever unified World Billiards Championship
65 players from 15 countries descend on the Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds next week for the first ever unified World Billiards Championship. This is the 6th time the club has hosted the World Championship, but the first time it has been jointly organised by two world governing bodies and the first to attract this level of entries.
Advani Withdraws from International Championship
Having defeated Craig Steadman, Steve Davis, Alan McManus and Michael Holt to qualify for his maiden professional venue, India’s Pankaj Advani has taken the difficult decision to withdraw from the tournament, due to a clash of dates with this World Billiards Championship.
