Over to you…

Having been starved of the opportunity to watch snooker for the past few weeks, this weekend sees something of an overload as the EPTC event from Gloucester  is being streamed live (watch here), from the venue whilst the Power Snooker event in London will also be available to watch over on ITV4.

As I will not be in for much of the day tomorrow (though hoping to provide regular updates on my Twitter page), I would be very interested to hear from fans as to their views of the service provided by the On-Q guys over at the EPTC event and also general views on the Power Snooker event.

Enjoy, whichever event you will be following!

Amateur Opportunities

Much has been made this season of the opportunity presented to the players further down the rankings by the introduction of the new Players Tour Championship and that is absolutely correct. It should not be forgotten however that the series also affords an amazing opportunity to snooker’s amateur players. For more on why I think that this is the case and why I think that the PTC has so far been a positive innovation for the sport, please click below…

Watch Williams’ 147

Courtesy of the WWWSnooker Twitter feed, you can now watch footage of Mark Williams’ 147 break over at YouTube here. Not the best quality but it is better than nothing!

Meanwhile you can also see a video here of Ding Junhui breaking off in the final frame of his match against Liang Wenbo. As a few have said recently, has there ever been a player who is worse having fallen a few frames behind?
