Picture Perfect: World Games 2013
While it was an event which for the majority of snooker fans will likely have flown somewhat under the radar, the 2013 World Games event won by India’s Aditya Mehta in Cali, Colombia, was an event of some importance for snooker and the WPBSA’s continued efforts to strengthen snooker’s hand on the world stage.
One man behind this push in particular is WPBSA Chairman Jason Ferguson and when I caught up with him at the recent Bluebell Wood Open tournament in Doncaster, he was kind enough to provide me with a selection of his photos from the event for PSB.

Snooker To Stage Ranking Event In India
World Snooker will stage the first ever world ranking tournament in India in October. The Indian Open will run from October 14 to 18 in Delhi.

Record number of players head for Leeds for first ever unified World Billiards Championship
65 players from 15 countries descend on the Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds next week for the first ever unified World Billiards Championship. This is the 6th time the club has hosted the World Championship, but the first time it has been jointly organised by two world governing bodies and the first to attract this level of entries.
Advani Withdraws from International Championship
Having defeated Craig Steadman, Steve Davis, Alan McManus and Michael Holt to qualify for his maiden professional venue, India’s Pankaj Advani has taken the difficult decision to withdraw from the tournament, due to a clash of dates with this World Billiards Championship.
